![]() ![]() To effectively replace Governors I propose that governor posts can now be occupied with leaders of all types - Commanders, Scientists, Statesmen.Įxisting system implies that you can and should assign Governors to all of your planets, or, at the very least, to the most significant ones. Now let's move to the lower part of the table, that all leader types share. Contributes to overall game logic (in short, planets for economy, starbases for warfare).Saves players from excessive micromanagement during wars (no more separate transport ships and battleships). They will occupy some Naval Capacity and Fleet Command Limit and will be led by the same Commander who leads the whole fleet. So I thought that various armies should be created via starbase interface (and why can’t they require alloys, by the way?) and be added to the fleets that are attached to said starbase. It makes virtually no sense for them to move without some convoy during war. Transport ships are vulnerable to attack in open space, like Spanish galleons of the early modern period. Moreover, it is quite disturbing to manage battlefleets and transport flotillas separately, at least from a “noob gamer” perspective. Sailors and soldiers aren’t that different, right? ![]() It makes little sense as we can build Crew Quarters or Fleet Academies at starbases, where people basically live, train and study. Firstly, it’s done through the planet interface (though all the ships are created through the starbase interface). What I have always found not really intuitive at Stellaris is the way you train and operate Assault Armies. It’s obvious from the table that the Governor role is now evenly distributed between remaining leader types. Heading the diplomatic mission in another empireįirst two functions cannot be performed simultaneously by the same leader, while Council membership is just like in the game and does not banish the leader from the other function they perform. ![]()
